Company history

The company Grondard became known in France in 1842. Legendary marzipan hearts, which were produced by the family plant, obtained hearts of many candy men by its delicate and original flavour.

In 2010 Russian gourmets  could see the true value of Grondard marzipan unique flavor. In Russia the production of marzipan chocolate and sweets of this brand was launched at the largest confectionary plant “Aztec”.

“Aztec” has great history. It was set up in St.-Petersburg in 2001 on the analogy of  private Swiss confectionary plants. Original and loved in Europe marzipan, produced by “Aztec”, can be found in many stores of St.-Petersburg, Moscow, Krasnodar and other cities of Russia.

The chain of hypermarkets OKEY, METRO Cash & Carry Russia, Dixie and Land offers its customers marzipan and chocolate Grondard. Almond delicacy can be purchased at such outlets as “Aromatniy mir” (Fragrant world) and “More chaya” (Sea of the tea). Assortment for children is represented in the famous chain of stores for children “Detskiy mir” (Children’s world).

With the appearance of Grondard, the plant has begun using unique French recipes and technologies. It means that a part of France of the 19th century is presented viewlessly in all marzipan delicacies, which can be bought today in cozy Grondard confectionaries or any supermarket.
